WHAT WE DO AND WHY

WHAT WE DO...

  1. We worship the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob in His fullness and express our worship in a Biblically Jewish context.
  2. We live a Messianic Jewish lifestyle by embracing and celebrating the Biblical feasts and other Jewish festivals, observing traditional Jewish life passages such as Brit Milah (circumcision), Bar and Bat Mitzvah, weddings, and funerals.
  3. We communicate the Good News of the Messiah Yeshua to all people, with special emphasis to the Jewish people of South Florida.
  4. We disciple and train members into spiritual maturity and Godly character so they may fulfill their calling within the Body of Messiah in the power of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit).
  5. We pass our Messianic Jewish heritage to the next generation.
  6. We strengthen families with practical Biblical teaching.
  7. We support the State of Israel as a homeland for all Jewish people and consistently pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
  8. We work toward unity and revival in the Body of Messiah in our local community and elsewhere.
  9. We promote the restoration of Israel to the Messiah.
  10. We bless the Church by teaching the Jewish Roots of the faith.

... And why

We believe that God's promises and covenants to the Jewish people are still in existence. As such, when we become followers of Yeshua, our Jewish identity becomes even more significant. Rabbi Saul (the Apostle Paul) made that clear in Romans 11: 29 regarding Israel that "the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable".
Therefore, we do the things we do, worship on Shabbat, continue traditional prayers and liturgy, teach our children, celebrate the feasts that God gave to Israel, and much more. Yeshua Himself declared the importance of the Torah by declaring, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Torah or the Prophets! I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17). Therefore it is important for us to express our faith in Yeshua in a Jewish context, with Yeshua at the center of all that we do.
At the same time, we welcome Gentiles who feel a calling to connect with us as part of our community. We believe that our expression of faith, what we "do", is a perfect fit for "interfaith" (Jewish/Gentile) marriages. So if that's you, give us a try!
