Formed in 2015, MIQEDEM is an Israeli band with a unique blend of Middle Eastern, Western, and International music influences - all set to the original words of the Hebrew Bible.
Although their music is sung entirely in Biblical Hebrew, Miqedem has gained a large and loyal fanbase around the world, and since forming have toured extensively in many countries, including concerts in Sweden, the UK, France, Poland, Ukraine, Canada, Germany, and in over 20 states in the US, and counting.
In May of 2018, the band released their second full-length album, “Vol. II” as a follow-up to their successful self-titled album released in 2016.
Part of what makes Miqedem’s music accessible to international audiences is that their concerts include subtitles, both in the form of translation (so the audience can understand what is sung), as well as transliteration (so that the audience can participate in some of the singing).
Miqedem’s concerts are a unique opportunity for non-Hebrew-speakers to not only deepen their knowledge of the meaning of Scripture, but to also gain a deeper appreciation of its exceptional beauty and sound - in the original form King David, King Solomon, the Prophet Isaiah, and others first wrote it.
After completing an extensive tour of the Western United States in April/May, Miqedem is now embarking on a four-week tour of the eastern/south-eastern part of the country, with over 20 concerts all across the region.
The band will be traveling as a 6-member ensemble, featuring:

- Gabriel Elbaz: Drums
- Jamie Hilsden: Vocals, Electric Guitar
- Shai Sol: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Percusssion
