Colossians 3:18-21 - 18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives and do not become harsh toward them. 20 Children, obey your parents in every respect, for this is pleasing to the Lord. 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become discouraged.

Proverbs 13:24 - He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent with discipline.

Ecclesiates 4:9-12 - 9 Two are better than one, because they get a good return for their effort. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his companion. But oy to the one who falls and has no one to lift him up! 11 Furthermore, if two lie together, then they will be warm. But how can one keep warm alone? 12 Though a man might overpower one, two can stand against him. Moreover a threefold cord cannot be quickly broken.
